Kindergarten's Safari Adventure in the African Savanna

The Kindergarten students researched the African Savanna and then recreated this biome at South Street School using recycled materials. Here are some fun facts that they learned: Giraffes have blue tongues. Baby zebras are called foals. Lions live in a pride. Old world monkeys have long noses. There are 54 types of orchids in Southern Africa. A giraffe has four stomachs. Crocodiles have a good sense of smell. Bush babies are about the size of a squirrel.
Kindergarten familes and grades 1 and 2 were invited to tour the Savanna today. Everyone learned a lot! Thank you to the kindergarten team for all their hard work and creativity!
